Professor Mohapatra Interviewed for Investigative Report on DNA Tests

IU McKinney Law Associate Professor Seema Mohapatra is featured in an investigative feature that will air at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 on WISH-TV Channel 8.
WISH-TV reporter Stephanie Zepelin interviewed Professor Mohapatra for the story, which looks at privacy concerns associated with popular at-home DNA test kits. The tests can reveal insights about heritage and health to consumers, who may be unaware of who else could have access to sensitive genetic information.
Professor Mohapatra is an expert in the areas of health care law, public health law, bioethics, torts, and international health and family law. Her research interests include the intersection of biosciences and the law, assisted reproduction and surrogacy, international family and health law, health care disparities in the United States, and informed consent.
