03/07/2019
Professor Shawn Boyne has been named to the inaugural C3 (Creating Campus Change) Leadership and Professional Development Series for LGBTQ+ graduate/professional students, staff, and faculty at IUPUI.
The C3 series is a yearlong program in which participants meet monthly. The goal is to build a sense of community and meet the personal and professional development needs of LGBTQ+ people in higher education. Using a combination of retreats, workshops, and social events, the series is designed to help emerging and high-potential campus leaders become more informed about the issues facing LGBTQ+ individuals in higher education, become more motivated to get involved to address those issues, and become more connected to other leaders in service to the campus and community.
Professor Boyne is Senior Mosaic Faculty Fellow, Co-Director JD Program Evaluation, and Chair of the Global Crisis Leadership Forum. A former senior trial prosecutor for the state of New Mexico, where she specialized in the prosecution of child sexual abuse and domestic violence cases, she teaches courses in cybercrime, criminal law, criminal procedure, and national security law.
