Professor Mohapatra Speaks at National People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference

Professor Mohapatra spoke on “Immigrant Physicians as Agents of Health Equity in the United States,” at the conference, and her talk was covered in an online story on the Diverse: Issues in Higher Education website.
Organizers said the conference is the largest gathering of minority legal scholars in history, with an expected attendance of more than 500 law professors and scholars in allied fields from across the United States and the world. The 2019 conference theme is “People of Color and the Future of Democracy.”
Professor Mohapatra is an expert in the areas of health care law, public health law, bioethics, torts, and international health and family law. Her research interests include the intersection of biosciences and the law, assisted reproduction and surrogacy, international family and health law, health care disparities in the United States, and informed consent.
