03/25/2019
Professor Fran Quigley, '87, spoke about healthcare access at Hanover College. Professor Quigley is a cum laude graduate of Hanover, and his talk was part of the Bill and June Rogers Peace and Social Justice Speakers Forum at the college.
Professor Quigley's lecture was a probe of universal healthcare for Americans. It's a topic that he researches, speaks and writes about frequently, and he was honored by the Baptist Ministers Alliance for his work in January 2019. Access to healthcare was the subject of Professor Quigley's most recent book, Prescription for the People: An Activist's Guide to Making Medicine Affordable for All, published by Cornell University Press in 2017. He edits the weekly newsletter, Faith in Healthcare. The lecture took place March 25 at the Ogle Center at Hanover.
Professor Quigley teaches in the Health and Human Rights Clinic at IU McKinney, and is the founder of Faith in Healthcare.
