Hotel Tango, Founded by IU McKinney Alumni, Prepares for Statewide Expansion

Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery, founded jointly by IU McKinney alumni Travis Barnes, Nabeela Virjee, Adam Willfond, and Brian Willsey, all of the class of 2013, is in the midst of a push to establish a retail presence statewide. A story about the effort appears in the March 22 issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal.
The team started the business during their third year of law school at IU McKinney. Hotel Tango is the first disabled combat veteran owned distillery in the state and in the nation. The business was founded the same year Indiana law changed and made craft distilling a viable business. The company has 15 salaried employees and 20 employees who work part time.
