Alfred Degrafinreid, '12, Takes Post at Vanderbilt University

Alfred Degrafinreid, '12, has been named Associate Vice Chancellor for Community Relations with the Division of Government and Community Relations at Vanderbilt University. The Tennessee native was most recently the Chief Administrative Officer of the Davidson County Criminal Court Clerk. Prior to his city government service, he was counsel to U.S. Representative Jim Cooper of Tennessee.
Degrafinreid holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Tennessee State University. He serves as the 2019 chair for the Salute for Excellence Awards, the largest nonprofit awards ceremony in the country. The event is hosted by the Center for Nonprofit Management to recognize community and nonprofit leaders in the Middle Tennessee region.
