Professor Aila Hoss Discusses Opioid Crisis with Public Health Professionals

Visiting Professor and Indiana University Grand Challenges Fellow Aila Hoss presented on public health law and offered case studies on the opioid use disorder crisis at the at the Indiana Public Health Association’s annual meeting on April 3 at Purdue University.
Her presentation, “Introduction to Public Health Law and Policy” was part of the IPHA Conference and Annual Meeting, “Creating the Healthiest Indiana: For Science. For Health.”
The mission of the Indiana Public Health Association (IPHA) is to strengthen public health through partnerships, policies and professional development.
Professor Hoss, along with Professors Nicolas Terry and Ross Silverman, served on a research team funded by the Indiana University Addictions Grand Challenge and co-authored the 2018 report Legal and Policy Best Practices in Response to the Substance Abuse Crisis.
