Perfecto Boyet Caparas, LL.M. '05, Presents at S.J.D. Colloquium

Perfecto Boyet Caparas discussed the topic of his dissertation during the S.J.D. Colloquium on April 18. The event took place in the Inlow Hall Faculty Lounge.
Caparas, who is a 2005 Master of Laws graduate of IU McKinney, is the Associate Director of Graduate Programs. He is also a Doctor of Juridical Science candidate at the law school. He presented his research for his dissertation titled "Spiritualized International Human Rights Developmental Law Quantum Praxis – Breaking Impunity: Resistance to Crimes Against Humanity in the Era of The International Criminal Court," during the colloquium event.
Professor Fran Quigley, '87, is Caparas's dissertation supervisor. Professor Quigley is a Clinical Professor of Law who teaches in the Health and Human Rights Clinic. A member of Caparas's defense committee is Visiting Professor Stella Emery Santana. In the photo from left are Professor Quigley, Caparas, and Professor Santana.
Caparas studied the American Law for Foreign Lawyers LL.M. track at IU McKinney. He received his first LL.M. with honors, from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong China Special Administrative Region, where he studied the Human Rights Track.
