04/29/2019
Professor Brad Desnoyer recently spoke at Awesome Con in Washington D.C. Awesome Con is a major comic book and popular culture convention with over 70,000 attendees. Professor Desnoyer spoke on the panel “Law and Order in Comics,” discussing issues related to superheroes and the law and answering fan questions. The panel discussion, which took place on April 25, was a way to both introduce attendees to legal issues and teach how those issues impact fictional worlds and our own.
Also on the panel (and in the photo from left) were administrative law judge C. Scott Maravilla, attorney and comic book writer Charles Soule, patent attorney and founder of the blog “Law in the Multiverse” James Daily, and Professor Desnoyer, who has written Batman-related stories for DC Comics.
Professor Desnoyer is an associate clinical professor of law at IU McKinney. He joined the faculty in 2018.
