Judge McCord, '90, Appointed to Bench in Indiana's Southern District

Lawrence Circuit Judge Andrea K. McCord, '90, has been appointed to the bench in bankruptcy court in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. She will take office in the New Albany division on May 20.
Judge McCord was appointed to the bench in Bedford in 2007, and was re-elected twice. She is a 2013 graduate of the Indiana Judicial College, and chairs the Improvements to the Judiciary Committee for the Indiana State Bar Association. She also is a member of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, director of the Indiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and a member of the Indiana Judges Association. She is a member of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Board of Trustees, and is active in the Lawrence County Bar Association.
