Professors Magliocca, Mohapatra, Cited in Indianapolis Star

An Indianapolis Star story about the latest laws aimed at restriction abortion access features commentary from Professor Gerard Magliocca and Professor Seema Mohapatra.
Professor Mohapatra, an expert in public health law, said that she sees these latest laws, which ban the procedure once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, as an opening for states to see how the U.S. Supreme Court will respond. "I think we will see lots of jurisdictions that are trying to test in different ways," she said in the piece.
Professor Magliocca, a constitutional law expert, said in the story that he believes many states are taking advantage of the U.S. Supreme Court's newest conservative members to see how the court will respond. "They're creating a test case for the Supreme Court, should they choose to reassess Roe v. Wade and if it doesn’t go anywhere they have shown all of their constituents that they care."
