Students in the 2019 Chinese Law Summer Program (CLSP) took part in the 10th International Forum for Law Students. The forum's theme was Legal Issues arising from Digital Platforms, and one IU McKinney student presented, while another served as a panel moderator.
IU McKinney 2L Armand Holmes made a presentation entitled “Digital Platforms: A Tool for Reducing Disparities in Prenatal Health.”
IU McKinney 2L Myeonggeun Jeong, and University of Kansas School of Law student Aisha Springette, another CLSP participant, served as panel moderators.
The International Forum for Law Students was created in 2010 to give law students an opportunity to engage in legal research and exchange ideas with peers from around the world. The Forum takes place at Renmin University of China Law School (RUC Law) in Beijing. It was founded by CLSP Director Professor Tom Wilson, and RUC Law Professor Ding Xiangshun, LL.M. '06, S.J.D. '19.
Jiang Yuanyuan, who recently completed her master's degree at RUC Law, also took part in the Forum. She will begin her LL.M. studies at IU McKinney in August 2019. She is the recipient of the scholarship that IU McKinney awards each year to a student from RUC Law.
