Professor Drobac Shares Insights, Cases on Sexual Harassment Law through Facebook
06/20/2019
Professor Jennifer Drobac has joined forces with two other professors to create a Facebook page aimed at educating people about Sexual Harassment Law.
Professor Drobac is working on the effort with Professor Carrie N. Baker of Smith College, and Professor Rigel C. Oliveri of the University of Missouri School of Law. They have written the book, Sexual Harassment Law: History, Cases, and Practice, which will be published by Carolina Academic Press.
The three professors also are working on a companion Wordpress site that will offer links to cases, statutes, films, and the Facebook page. Miriam Murphy, Director and Senior Lecturer in Law, and Susan deMaine, Associate Director and Lecturer in Law, of the Ruth Lilly Law Library, are helping with the Wordpress site.
Professor Drobac’s latest book, Sexual Exploitation of Teenagers: Adolescent Development, Discrimination, and Consent Law, was published in 2016 by University of Chicago Press. Professor Drobac was a Visiting Scholar during the Spring 2018 semester at Harvard Law School’s Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics, and Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Law, Brain and Behavior. She was there conducting research for her next book, The Myth of Consent, which she is co-writing with Professor Oliver Goodenough. That work will explore the neuroscience of adult decision making and how the science should influence law reform. She is the R. Bruce Townsend Professor of Law at IU McKinney.
