Stephen Stitle, '70, has been named chief operating officer at the law firm SmithAmundsen. He will be in charge of recruiting new talent and maintaining the firm's client base in Indianapolis and Chicago.

Stitle formerly served as chair of PNC Bank Indiana, and in various executive positions at Eli Lilly and Company. He serves as member of the IU McKinney Board of Visitors. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award from IU McKinney in 2011.
