09/03/2019
Visitors from FAESA--Centro Universitario in Vitória, Brazil arrived for an intensive program in American law at IU McKinney. The group of 11 includes the school's dean, Sayury Otoni, and is directed by a familiar face at IU McKinney, Professor Stella Emery Santana. Professor Santana was a visiting professor for two years at IU McKinney. Two other professors, five law students, and one representative of the Industry Federation of the State of Espirito Santo complete the class.
The group arrived August 31 for a week-long program featuring classroom instruction that is supplemented with law-related field trips. The group, in the photo at left, visited Wabash College on September 2 where they made a presentation, "Crime and Punishment in Brazil--What Lessons Can We Learn?" They also made an always popular stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The program is in its 11th year and is directed by Professor Tom Wilson.
