FAESA Students Visit Fernanda Beraldi, LL.M. '15, at Cummins

Students and faculty taking part in the FAESA--Centro Universitario program in American law had an opportunity to visit with one of their compatriots, Fernanda Beraldi, LL.M. '15, at Cummins, Inc. Beraldi is Senior Director of Ethics and Compliance for Cummins, Inc.
Prior to enrolling at IU McKinney to study for her LL.M., Beraldi was Senior Legal Counsel for Embraer, an aircraft manufacturer based in San Jose dos Campos, Brazil. She recently was named to the eighth annual Top 10 30-Somethings list by the Association of Corporate Counsel. In the photo, FAESA students visit with Beraldi at Cummins on September 4.
Professor Lahny Silva conducted a class for the FAESA visitors on the topic, "The Drug War and the Era of Redemption. Professor Silva teaches criminal law, criminal procedure, constitutional law, torts, and evidence. She is renowned for her work with the Re-Entry And Community Help program, a program in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and the Re-Entry Job and Resource Fair. FAESA students also took a field trip to the Indiana Senate, where they were hosted by Senator Phil Boots.
