09/05/2019
Students and faculty taking part in the FAESA--Centro Universitario program in American law learned about the balance between federal authority and states' rights, and paid a visit to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on September 5.
Professor Tom Wilson, who directs the program, presented a lecture titled "A 230-Year-Old Argument: Balancing the Authority of the Federal Government with the Authority of the States." The group went on a law-related field trip to the Marion County Jail, before visiting the U.S. District Court. Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson, '83, visited with the class at the court.
