Professor Nedeff Discusses Latest Step in Behrman Murder Case
10/02/2019
Professor Novella Nedeff, '83, was a guest on WXIN's morning news program to talk about the new trial ordered for the man convicted of killing Jill Behrman in 2000. Professor Nedeff was interviewed October 2.
Behrman left her home for a bike ride and never returned. Her body was found three years later, and John Myers was arrested in connection with Behrman's killing in 2006. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to 65 years in prison that same year. A U.S. District Court judge in Indianapolis vacated that conviction and admonished Meyers' defense attorneys for providing ineffective assistance. The state has 120 from September 30 to decide to retry Myers.
