IP Center Luncheon Speaker Series Features First Brinks Scholar
01/22/2020
IU McKinney 1L Laine Gonzalez and Brinks Gilson & Lione shareholder Sanders Hillis talked with students during a luncheon event at Inlow Hall. Their lecture, "Intellectual Property Practice and Forward Thinking," took place on January 21.
Gonzalez is IU McKinney's first IP Law Scholar. The firm created the partnership with the law school in 2016 to enable qualifying part-time IU McKinney students to work at the firm while in school and receive tuition remission. Gonzalez worked as a mechanical engineer at a company in the Detroit area before deciding to come to law school.

The IP Center's luncheon series provides an opportunity for students to hear from legal practitioners working in the field of IP law, and affords them the chance to ask questions and get to know the speaker after the lecture.
