Professor Quigley Discusses Unemployment Eligibility in Op-Ed
05/11/2020
Professor Fran Quigley, ’87, wrote an opinion piece regarding unemployment benefits. The piece was published in the Indianapolis Business Journal.
The column examines unemployment benefit eligibility for workers who decline to return to work after their place of business resumes operations out of fear of contracting COVID-19. These workers are not necessarily required to return to jobs they believe to be unsafe, Professor Quigley said.
Professor Quigley teaches in the Health and Human Rights Clinic at IU McKinney. He is the author of Prescription for the People: An Activist's Guide to Making Medicine Affordable for All, published by Cornell University Press in 2017.
