Law Library's Rena Seidler Receives Inaugural Award for Research Instruction

Ruth Lilly Law Library’s Rena Seidler is the inaugural recipient of the 2020 Paul Gatz RIPS-SIS Publication Award. Her article, Shedding Light on Legal Research Accessibility for the Blind, 23 AALL Spectrum 12 (2019), won the American Association of Law Libraries, AALL Spectrum magazine “Article of the Year” in early 2020.
This award is designed to honor AALL, Research Instruction and Patron Services- Special Interest Section (RIPS-SIS) members for contributions to law librarianship through publication, particularly in the area of research instruction and patron services.
Seidler is Research and Instruction Librarian and Adjunct Lecturer in Law with the Ruth Lilly Law Library. She joined the law library faculty in 2016. She teaches the 1L legal research course and advanced legal research, and she participates in the faculty liaison program. Her research interests include student instruction, government documents, and free access to information.
