IU McKinney Alumna Named Vice President of Program Operations at Child Advocates

Phyllis Armstrong, ’90, has been named Vice President of Program Operations at Child Advocates. In this new role, she will oversee all programmatic areas of the child welfare agency including: Educational Liaison Program, Family Crisis Advocacy, Interrupting Racism for Children, Juvenile Court, Mediation and Volunteer Training.
Prior to her promotion, Armstrong served as a staff attorney, Director of the Custody Program (now Family Crisis Advocacy Program) and most recently as the Director of Mediation. In addition to her positions with Child Advocates, she co-founded the Family Practice Division of The Mediation Group where she mediated domestic relations cases and served as a parenting coordinator and Guardian ad Litem in high-conflict dissolution, paternity, adoption and guardianship cases.
