ABA Journal Article on Online Bar Exam Tips Features IU McKinney's Michele Cooley
06/23/2020
An ABA Journal article on how the move to an online bar exam is impacting takers features the expertise of IU McKinney’s Director of Academic and Bar Success Michele Cooley.
The test administered on July 28 will encompass the Indiana Essay Examination, along with a series of short-answer questions on topics tested on the Multistate Bar Examination. Indiana’s online exam will have 12 short-answer questions, with test-takers answering four questions per hour, which works out to about 15 minutes per questions, Cooley said in the story.
“It’s very similar to a MBE multiple-choice fact pattern, but it’s open-ended, instead of having the right answer in front of you,” Cooley said in the article. She also is an adjunct professor at the law school.
Cooley’s advice for test-takers? “It’s boom, here’s what the answer is and why. It’s short. You get in and get out,” she said.
