Doug Church Named Legendary Lawyer by Indiana Bar Foundation

Doug Church, ’70, has been named the Legendary Lawyer for 2020 and will be celebrated for his 50 years of practicing law during a ceremony October 15. The Indiana Bar Foundation made the announcement.
The Legendary Lawyer award was created to spotlight individuals whose career commitments in areas such as legal ethics, community involvement, public service, and lawyer professionalism demonstrate the high calling and higher achievement of lawyers in modern society. This award is annually presented to a member of the Fellows of the Indiana Bar Foundation.
Church is a partner in the Noblesville, Indiana, law firm Church Church Hittle & Antrim. He was town attorney for Fishers from 1980 to 2015 and city attorney for Noblesville from 1988 to 1996. Church served as president of the Hamilton County Bar Association, president of the Indiana State Bar Association, president of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Bar Foundation and member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association. Among his many community service endeavors, Church was a member of the Connor Prairie Board of Trustees and the Greater Indianapolis YMCA Foundation Board of Trustees.
