10/19/2020
Professor Joel Schumm will offer an online information session on how citizens may make informed choices regarding judicial retention. The event will enable voters to make decisions about the judicial retention questions on ballots statewide in November. The online event will begin at 7 p.m. October 22.
Professor Schumm is a magna cum laude graduate of IU McKinney, where he served as an articles editor for the Indiana Law Review. He joined the faculty at the law school in 2001, after serving three years in judicial clerkships with then-Justice Theodore Boehm of the Indiana Supreme Court and then-Judge Paul Mathias of the Indiana Court of Appeals. Professor Schumm directs the law school’s Judicial Externship Program, which places approximately eighty students each year with state and federal judges in trial and appellate courts in central Indiana and beyond.
