Joyce Rogers, '96, Named Interim Executive Vice President for IU Foundation

The Indiana University Foundation has appointed Joyce Rogers, ’96, to the position of Interim Vice President for Development.
Rogers will be responsible for providing strategic oversight of the development function in order to uphold IU Foundation’s mission of maximizing private support for the university. She will work with leaders across IU and the IU Foundation to build upon existing strengths and explore new innovations necessary to prepare IU for the next campaign.
Rogers has served as Vice President of Development for the IU Foundation for the last seven years, working closely with the IU Office of Diversity, Equity, and Multi-cultural Affairs.
Prior to her time at IU, Rogers served as Vice President for Development for Ivy Tech Community College, where she was responsible for day-to-day operations for fundraising efforts of the institution. In this role, Rogers was the Chief Development Officer with total oversight of the Foundation, directing the development and administrative activities to advance private sector support.
Rogers went to Ivy Tech from Indiana Black Expo Inc., where she served in multiple leadership roles, including President & CEO (2005 – 2007), Interim CEO & COO (2004 – 2005), and Chief Operating Officer (2001 – 2004). She is Chair of the Board for the Madam Walker Theater and Chair of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County.
In addition to her IU J.D. from IU McKinney, Rogers earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University. She and her husband, Kenneth, reside in Indianapolis and they have two daughters and one son.
