Story on Indianapolis Burmese Population Features Lun Pieper, '09

The Indianapolis south side is home to one of the largest populations of Burmese Chin refugees in the world. A story about them in the December 2020 issue of Indianapolis Monthly features Lun Pieper, ’09.
Pieper was not permitted to attend university in Myanmar when she lived there. She moved to Indianapolis for an undergraduate education in 2001, the article says. She of course went on to earn a law degree and is now a staff attorney for the Indiana Supreme Court’s Commission on Race & Gender Fairness and Language Access.
