Health Law Week Launches February 22 with Philanthropy Event

Health Law Week, sponsored by the IU McKinney Hall Center for Law and Health and the Health Law Society, kicks off with a week-long philanthropy effort on Monday, February 22.
IU McKinney students, faculty and staff are encouraged to donate feminine hygiene products to a labeled box set up in the breezeway of Inlow Hall or donate via Venmo to @IUHealthLawSociety. Items and donations will be given to local women’s shelters.
The week concludes on Friday, February 26 with the 2021 Health Law Conference: Older Adults and Aging with Dignity from 1-3:15 p.m. ET.
Tara Sklar, Professor of Health Law and Director of the Health Law & Policy Program at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, will present the keynote address, "Where Do We Go from Here? Long-Term Care After COVID-19."
A panel discussion on “An Interdisciplinary Approach to Aging Well” follows the keynote address. Panelists include:
- Amber R. Comer, ’11, PhD, JD, Assistant Professor of Health Sciences, Indiana University School of Health and Human Sciences
- Colin Milner, CEO, International Council on Active Aging
- Dana Reed Wise, MPH, REHS, Bureau Chief, Bureau of Environmental Health, Marion County Public Health Department
- Phyllis Barkman Ferrell, Global Head External Engagement Alzheimer’s disease, Eli Lilly & Company

- Thursday, February 25: Follow the clues on the @iumckinneylaw Instagram page and answer the questions to earn some IU McKinney swag.
