Professor Desnoyer Writes about Need for Medical Marijuana in Indianapolis Star
02/23/2021
Professor Brad Desnoyer of IU McKinney wrote an opinion piece calling on the Indiana General Assembly to take action on one of the many medical marijuana bills under consideration this session. The column was published in the Indianapolis Star.
Professor Desnoyer is no casual observer of the legislation’s progress or lack thereof. A friend of his died after suffering a series of brain tumors. The friend lived in a state where medical marijuana was also illegal and often wished he could try that as an alternative to the opioids that had such devastating side effects.
Professor Desnoyer is an associate clinical professor of law at IU McKinney. He joined the faculty in 2018 and teaches Legal Communication and Analysis I and II and Education Law. He is a past recipient of the Association of Legal Writing Directors' Teaching Grant for his innovative pedagogy, and he is the author of the 2016 book, How to Write Law Exams, published by West Academic Publishing.
