Professor Quigley on Panel with Chief Justice Rush to Discuss Indianapolis Eviction Problem

IU McKinney Professor Fran Quigley, ’87, will take part in a discussion aimed at finding solutions to the eviction crisis in Indianapolis. The event will take place November 4 and feature Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush and Warren Township Small Claims Court Judge Garland Graves.
The event, “Indy’s Eviction Problem: Status, Strategies, and Solutions,” is sponsored by Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis. Indianapolis has many more evictions than other much larger metropolitan areas, according to the Eviction Lab at Princeton University. The meeting is designed for volunteers of the Interfaith Hospitality Network shelter program at Family Promise, but the public is welcome to attend. Chief Justice Rush’s comments will be video remarks made for this event, while Judge Graves and Professor Quigley will attend.
The discussion will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. November 4 at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, 6501 N. Meridian St. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours is required at the door and masks will be required regardless of vaccination status. Tickets are free but required to attend.
