03/01/2022
In a blog post for Easterseals Crossroads, IU McKinney 3L Michael Ferron wrote about IU McKinney alumnus J.B. Stradford. Ferron is a board member at the organization.
Titled “Black History is Indiana History,” Ferron recounts a bit of Stradford’s story from his time in Indianapolis where he graduated from one of IU McKinney’s predecessor schools. Stradford moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a prosperous member of the Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street, when it was violently attacked by a white supremacist mob in 1921.
Ferron has served on the board at Easterseals Crossroads since 2016 and has served as chair of the group’s development committee since 2018. He is the managing broker of 10│24 Real Estate and serves as a real estate instructor. Ferron is particularly interested in fair, affordable, and accessible housing.
