Women's Caucus Auction Benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis
03/02/2022
Women’s Caucus hosted the 44th annual auction live at Inlow Hall on February 24. Guests took their chances with bidding on the many desirable items during the silent auction portion of the event, and there was lively bidding on the auction faculty donated excursions during the live auction, which always marks the end of the evening’s festivities.
Guests enjoy food, drink, and one another’s company during the silent auction portion of the evening. Everything from tickets to outings to some of Indianapolis’ arts attractions, food, wine, and tickets to an Indiana Pacers game were up for bid.
The bidding was frenzied at times during the live auction, which featured gatherings with members of the IU McKinney faculty. On offer this year were an introductory wine tasting with Professors Nicholas Georgakopoulos and Jeffrey Cooper, a morning on the water with Professor Cynthia Baker, a baseball game at Victory Field with Interim Chancellor Andy Klein, and the always popular Fort Benjamin Harrison outing with Professor Frank Sullivan.
Women’s Caucus raised $11,922.44 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis. The clubs serve over 5,500 children and their families by providing after-school education programs, meals, and youth career development initiatives.
