Valerie Church, '14, Named Directing Attorney in Kentucky Statewide Office

Valerie Church, ’14, was named directing attorney with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy’s Lexington North Trial Office. Church previously was staff attorney in the Lexington South Trial Office.
The Department of Public Advocacy is Kentucky’s statewide public defender agency and there are 33 offices across the state. In this role, Church supervises a staff of 12 attorneys, six non-attorneys, and supervises interns and externs, most of whom are from law schools within the state. She has worked at the agency since 2020.
