IU McKinney’s Senior Associate Director of the Office of Professional Development Whittley Pike, ’14, has published a column in the latest issue of Indiana Lawyer. The piece is aimed at recent law school graduates.

In the column, Pike offers practical advice for recent graduates, including taking part in bar associations, being selective about commitments, finding ways to make meaningful contributions, and asking for help when necessary.

“There is going to be a day in the next year when you feel overwhelmed. Look to those trusted relationships and talk to those who have been there or those who are going through it right now, too —especially if your peer network includes folks who are employed in different organizations,” Pike writes. “Sometimes a little bit of distance is just the shift in perspective you need to be able to sort through what you’re experiencing.”
