Professor Wilson to Lead Graduate and International Programs

IU McKinney Professor Tom Wilson will serve as associate dean for the law school’s graduate and international programs. In this role, he will provide curricular, policy, and budget leadership for graduate degree programs and international initiatives in collaboration with the decanal team.
Professor Wilson joined the faculty at IU McKinney in 1999 and serves as the director of the Joint Center for Asian Law Studies in partnership with Renmin University of China Law School in Beijing. He also is director of the law school’s Chinese Law Summer Program. The Joint Center has hosted 44 visiting scholars from China and Taiwan.
Professor Wilson’s early scholarship focused on real estate finance and mortgage foreclosure law. His recent writing has been in the area of comparative legal systems. He regularly engages in international law related activities, including teaching courses, delivering lectures, and leading programs in China, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, and Switzerland. He has been a visiting scholar at the Yonsei University Law School in Seoul, South Korea, and at the University of Bergen Faculty of Law in Bergen, Norway.
