Zachary Bahorik, J.D. ‘09, has been named to the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty under 40 Class for 2022. Bahorik is a partner and co-group leader of the venture law practice group at Ulmer & Berne.

Bahorik is an accomplished corporate and startup business attorney whose specific experience includes capital raises, fund management, business formation, operations, intellectual property and asset protection, financing, and transactions. In addition, he played an integral role in the growth of a Cincinnati-area high-tech startup accelerator, where he served as fund manager of the dedicated investment fund for more than six years. Through this work, he supported more than 50 startup companies that went through the accelerator and helped them grow their businesses.

Bahorik plays an active role in the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program, the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic. He also has been actively involved in the Cincinnati-area chapter of Girls on the Run, a program for adolescent girls that promotes female empowerment by teaching life skills through lessons and running. He served in several leadership roles with the organization, including as board of directors chairman, and continues to support the group in its mission.
