IU McKinney's Moot Court Society Announces Winners of 2022 Staton Intramural Competition

Megan Hill and Olivia Burpo were declared the winners of the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition. The finals took place at the Indiana Supreme Court on October 22. Hill and Burpo were the Mitzi H. Martin Winning Moot Court Team.
Joey Baertschi was named the Christopher M. Maine Top Oralist in the final barrister round.
Oliva Burpo received the Mitzi H. Martin Award for Best Oral Advocate during the preliminary rounds.
Noah Tallman received the Best Brief award.
Lisa Manning, J.D. ’03; and Jon Pactor, J.D. ’76, were named Friends of the Court for their outstanding service to the Moot Court Society.
Judges for the final round of competition were Indiana Supreme Court Justice Geoffrey Slaughter; Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Leanna Weisssmann, J.D. '94; Marion Superior Court Judge Marshelle Broadwell, J.D. '01; U.S. District Court Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson, J.D. '83; and Josh Tatum of Plews Shadley Racher & Braun.
