Professor Desnoyer Discusses Student Loan Debt Relief Cases with WTHR

IU McKinney Professor Brad Desnoyer appeared on Indianapolis television news station WTHR to talk about the current lawsuit attempting to block federal student loan debt relief.
Professor Desnoyer outlined who would have standing to make such a claim and where the president is claiming the authority to cancel some student debt. His remarks begin at about the 40-second mark in the video. The piece was broadcast November 11.
Professor Desnoyer is an associate clinical professor of law and Dean’s Fellow at IU McKinney, where he also is currently serving as the interim director of the law school’s Academic and Bar Success program. He joined the faculty in 2018 and teaches Legal Communication and Analysis I and II and Education Law. He is a past recipient of the Association of Legal Writing Directors' Teaching Grant for his innovative pedagogy. In addition, he serves as a lead editor for Legal Communication & Rhetoric: JAWLD.
