IU McKinney's Ben Keele To Edit Law Library Journal
01/27/2023
The American Association of Law Libraries, the national professional organization for law librarians, has appointed Benjamin J. Keele, associate director of the Ruth Lilly Law Library at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, as the next editor of Law Library Journal (LLJ).
Law Library Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal and has been published since 1908.
Keele served as a LLJ Book Review editor (2013-2018) and on the LLJ Editorial Board (2019-2021). He has considerable experience in writing, editing, and publishing scholarly work. He has published two articles in LLJ and two articles in Legal Reference Services Quarterly. During his time serving on the LLJ Editorial Board, he proposed instituting a blind review process, which became LLJ’s practice. In addition, he has provided feedback on dozens of papers by law librarians and law students, both informally and through workshops.
Keele will serve a three-year term leading the LLJ Editorial Board and play a key role in soliciting, selecting, and editing scholarly works for the law librarian profession.
