Amela Sijaric, J.D. ’03, has written a memoir about her life as a teenager growing up in war-torn Bosnia from 1992-1996. Titled, “The Far Away People,” the book describes her childhood before the war and her family’s survival during it.

Sijaric is at attorney at the Marion County Public Defender Agency, where she has served since 2006.
