Portia Bailey-Bernard, J.D. ’17, has been named to the Development Counsellors International 40 under 40 class for 2023. She is senior vice president of Indianapolis Economic Development for Indy Chamber.

In this role at the chamber, Bailey-Bernard focuses on facilitating long-term investments to give Marion County and Indianapolis a competitive advantage while ensuring more residents can connect to economic opportunity. Prior to this, she was an attorney at Kroger Gardis & Regis, and at Barnes & Thornburg. She is a summa cum laude graduate of IU McKinney.
