Professor Baker to Speak at Butler University about Affirmative Action

IU McKinney Professor Cynthia Baker will be a panelist during an event at Butler University that will examine the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision that impacted Affirmative Action. The event will take place on October 23 at the campus’s Efroymson Diversity Center.
Titled “Empowering Students of Color after Affirmative Action,” the panelists will talk about the history of Affirmative Action, the Supreme Court’s decision and its impact on universities, and what might happen next. Speakers include Indiana State Senator Greg Taylor; Stevie Pactor, staff attorney at the ACLU of Indiana and who also teaches at IU McKinney as an adjunct professor; and Professor Baker.
The event is open to the public but registration is required.
