IU McKinney received an “A-” rating in the criminal law category from preLaw Magazine for the 2023-2024 academic year. The law school has been honored with this rating every year since 2019.

The magazine seeks out law schools that “seek to rectify injustice by training students to uphold the highest standards in whichever role they seek, whether it be prosecution or defense.” IU McKinney’s rating can be viewed on page 41 of the fall 2023 issue of preLaw.

Many of IU McKinney’s experiential learning opportunities are applicable to the area of criminal law, including several of the law school’s clinical programs.
