IndyBar Honors Eight IU McKinney Alumni for 50 Years in the Legal Profession

The Indianapolis Bar Association honored member who celebrated 50 years in the legal profession during 2023. Eight of those honored are graduates of IU McKinney School of Law. They are:
- Richard A. Clem of the firm Alden & Clem. Clem is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and is known for his mentorship of young lawyers.
- Lawrence Dorocke of the firm Simpson Colin, where he practices real estate, corporate, municipal, credit rights, and transactional law.
- Lante Earnest, who practices business law, employment and commercial law, housing, government and administrative law, estate planning and administration, and real estate law.
- Robert Hammerle of the firm Hackman Hulett. He has dedicated his entire legal career to criminal law defense and is one of the top lawyers in the state in this area of law.
- The Honorable William T. Lawrence, former judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
- Jerald Miller of the firm Wheeler Gluys & Miller. He is known for his mentorship of young lawyers and is active in the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.
- M. Kent Newton is a co-founder of COIN, Caring for Our Immigrant Neighbors and is involved in many not-for-profit boards aimed at helping the underserved population.
- Robert York practices at York Law where he is active in litigation throughout Indiana. He is a former deputy prosecuting attorney and former administrative law judge.
