Fay Williams Honored with Award for Community Service
02/06/2024
Fay Williams, J.D. ’71, was honored with the Julia M. Carson Community Award. Williams received the recognition during Crown Hill Cemetery’s 14th annual Black History Month Celebration. A story about the award appeared on Indianapolis television station WTHR.
Williams is known for her work on behalf of women and minorities. It’s particularly fitting that Williams receive the honor named for the congresswoman with whom she worked for more than 30 years. The award is named after former Congresswoman Julie Carson, who focused on issues facing working-class Americans during her time in office.
