IU McKinney Hosts ICLEO Fellows during 2024 Summer Institute

IU McKinney School of Law hosted 16 members of the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity during the 2024 Summer Institute. The program was directed by Patricia K. Kinney, J.D. ’02, IU McKinney assistant dean of diversity and inclusion; and Chasity Thompson Osborn, J.D. ’02, director of attorney learning and development at Taft.
This summer marked the 10th time the Summer Institute was hosted by IU McKinney. A total of 13 participants are IU McKinney students, while one is enrolled at Notre Dame Law and two are students at IU Maurer School of Law.
IU McKinney faculty and alumni taught during the program. Professor Carrie Hagan taught legal foundation, Professor Aila Hoss taught property, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs Tom Wilson taught contracts, and David Nguyen, J.D. ’06, taught constitutional law. Elizabeth Cornejo, and IU McKinney 3L who is president of the Hispanic Law Society; and Preandra Landrum, J.D. ’20, served as teaching assistants.
The ICLEO Summer Institute is an intense preparatory experience designed to help students become accustomed to what they will experience as law students. Once enrolled in an Indiana law school, ICLEO Fellows receive an annual education award to offset the costs of their law school tuition.
