Chaka Coleman, J.D. ’22, was given the Black Rising Star Award by InnoPower. Coleman received the honor during the InnoPower Minority Business Week’s event. She serves as a government affairs liaison and attorney with Franciscan Alliance.

Coleman was a Program on Law and State Government fellow during her time as a student at IU McKinney. The 2021 PLSG Fellowship Symposium focused on the topic, “Gun Laws and Gun Violence: State Governments Making a Difference.”
