IU McKinney Named to preLaw List of Top Schools for Women in Leadership

IU McKinney School of Law is ranked 17 on preLaw Magazine’s list of top 25 schools for women in leadership. A story about the ranking appears in the publications’ back-to-school issue.
According to the American Bar Association, the percentage of law school deans who are women rose from 10% in 2000 to 31% in 2016. By 2022, that number had reached 43%. In addition, the percentage of women law school students also continues to climb, from 48% in 2000 to 55% in 2021.
Dean Karen E. Bravo began her tenure leading the law school in July 2020. IU McKinney was highlighted for the number of women in leadership at the law school, including women leading student groups. A total of 57% of IU McKinney students are women, and half of the faculty members are women.
