IU McKinney Welcomes Two New Visiting Professors to Hall Center

Renée M. Landers joined IU McKinney in fall 2024 as the visiting McKinney Family Chair in Health Law. She is professor of law at Suffolk University Law School and is the faculty director of the school’s Health and Biomedical Law Concentration and the Master of Science in Law Life Sciences program. At Suffolk, she teaches administrative law, constitutional law, health law, and privacy law. Professor Landers was co-winner of Suffolk Law’s Professor Catherine T. Judge Teaching and Service Award in March 2022. President of the Boston Bar Association in 2003-2004, she was the first woman of color and the first law professor to serve in that position. She has worked in private practice and served as Deputy General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Justice during the Clinton Administration. Priscilla D. Thomas-Keith, J.D. ’93, is the visiting Hall Render Professor and Interim Associate Director of the Hall Center for Law and Health. Professor Keith served as the General Counsel of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County, in Indianapolis, including Wishard Health Services, the Marion County Health Department, and Environmental Services. Prior to her appointment as General Counsel, she served as Assistant Counsel to former Indiana Governor, Frank O’Bannon. She also served as an executive assistant to the Department of Insurance, State Board of Accounts, Utilities and Telecommunications, and the Women’s Commission. Additionally, Keith was Chief Counsel of the Advisory Section under Attorneys General Jeff Modisett and Karen Freeman-Wilson. Most recently, Keith was Assistant General Counsel at Community Health Network and served as Vice President of Programs for an organization whose primary focus is to eliminate medical debt.
