IU McKinney School of Law welcomes seven new members to the Board of Visitors.

The new members are:

• J. Michael Antrim, J.D. ’75, partner at Church Church Hittle + Antrim
• Amber Finley, J.D. '11, corporation council for the city of Lawrence
• Danica L. Hostettler, J.D. ’03, Associate VP - Assistant General Patent Counsel, IP Litigation, Eli Lilly and Company
• Jimmie L. McMillian Jr., J.D. ’02, Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Corporate Counsel, Indianapolis Motor Speedway
• Melissa A. Proffitt Schmidt, J.D. ’85, Partner-in-Charge of Client Relations, Ice Miller LLP
• Marci A. Reddick, J.D. ’84, Of Counsel, Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP
• Hon. David A. Shaheed, J.D. ’84. Senior Judge

The Board of Visitors are accomplished and dedicated alumni and allies who provide their perspectives, experiences, and financial support to advance the IU McKinney School of Law toward continued excellence and expanded opportunities. The primary purpose of the board is to support the dean’s priorities for advancing the law school. Board members may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

Board of Visitors members serve as ambassadors and advocates for the school by expanding relationships, connections, and opportunities for the school, its students, and graduates. They also provide personal philanthropic support and connect the school to alumni, friends, and donors. Board members strategize and mobilize community and political support for key initiatives affecting the long-term health and success of the school. They enhance the law school’s reputation locally, regionally, nationally, and beyond. Members support the law school in broadening and enhancing professional opportunities for students and graduates. Finally, members of the Board of Visitors assist the dean as he or she requests and sharing insights and acting on initiatives and important issues in legal education or practice.
